Netherton Sport U14s really have gone from strength to strength; in this their first season together, winning silverware and getting ever increasing improved results.  In their last game, a midweek friendly, against Methley United, a team that did exceptionally well in the First Division of the Charles Rice League they held them in a goalless first half.

Then in the second half they secured a lead, with a fine goal from team skipper Connor Varley before conceding two later in the game.  They played so well, that they wouldn’t have been unjust had they at least have secured a draw for their efforts but it wasn’t to be.  Topps Tiles Man of the Match justifiably went to new boy Harem Ali ahead of Arron Byrne, Lee Cawley, James Woodings and James Pollard.

Netherton Sports are now looking to recruit an Under 7s and U8s which will then both hopefully progress as strongly and successfully, with the quality training on offer, as this team has.  For further information and a friendly chat, please contact Club Development Officer John McClean on Wakefield 382540 or 07904-045470 or visit www.nethertonsports.co.uk.
