Netherton Sports U15s showed true potential in holding their hosts Crofton Juniors of the Charles Rice Premier Division to a 0 – 0 draw.  From the start Sports had to be at their best to deal with a strong Crofton Juniors side and they were also playing into the windy and wet conditions.  The 0 – 0 halftime score was very pleasing surprise and certainly above expectations and gave them great confidence for the second half.

In the second half Sports had slightly the better of things, especially in the mid-field which allowed them to create slightly more opportunities but alas a really good decisive final ball coupled with a clinical finish was just missing.  Obviously given the strength of the opposition, all of Sports’ players had to play well but none more so than; right-back Shovan Shahab plus the centre mid-field duo of Harem Ali & Matty Haddon with the latter Haddon being named Topps Tiles Man of the Match.
